Who can become a member?

Membership

Any person involved in education, research and or patient care in the field of emergency medicine can become a full member of BSEC. Full members paying membership fees, have voting rights and can stand for office if they qualify.

Joining Fee- P100 (once-off payment)

All other payments are annual.

Full member: Medical practitioners registered as Emergency Medicine Consultant, Paramedic, Nurse, Emergency Medicine Resident, Medical officer, EMTs with the Botswana Health professions Council, currently living and working in Botswana

Affiliate member: Professionals other than those describe as full members who are interested in Emergency care. Examples are allied health professionals, child advocate and psychologists

Emeritus member: Retired Emergency Medicine Consultant, Paramedic and Nurses

residing in Botswana or any other country other than Botswana.


International member: anyone who qualifies under (a), (b) or (c) but resides in any country other than Botswana. For those that have never worked in Botswana, they will need full registration in their country or residence, and evidence of good standing with the licensing body.
